ChAImp champions small and medium nonprofits — bringing enterprise-grade AI and digital transformation to the organizations that need it most, but can least afford it. For many of the organizations we work with, our engagement is entirely pro bono. Every conversation starts the same way — tell us about your mission.
We believe AI should amplify human connection — never replace it.
We don't just implement technology. We transfer capability — building solutions your team can sustain, adapt, and build on long after our engagement ends.
Smarter workflows without the complexity
Purpose-built AI tools and workflows tailored to your nonprofit's operations — helping your team work smarter, not harder.
Like Google — but for your own organisation's data
Help your team find the right information at the right time. We build systems that surface answers from your own data — securely, responsibly, and without the jargon.
Swap the spreadsheets for something that actually works
Modernizing legacy processes and tools to reduce friction and manual work — so your team spends time on mission, not spreadsheets.
Secure, modern technology that grows with you
Cloud-first architecture that is secure, scalable, and cost-efficient. Built to grow with you — not against you.
AI that protects your donors, clients and reputation
Responsible AI and data governance frameworks appropriate for mission-driven organizations. We take the risk seriously so you don't have to worry.
Practical tools built for your budget and your team
Affordable, practical tools your team can actually maintain — built with the right technology for your specific challenge, not a one-size-fits-all solution.
We work with small and medium 501(c)(3) organizations across the United States who are ready to embrace technology responsibly.
"More Mission.
Less Admin."

Website Modernization · Digital Transformation
A 501(c)(3) rescue organization serving California, Nevada, Oregon, and Washington — saving Bull Terriers in crisis since 1995. Their legacy WordPress site was broken and directing visitors to Facebook to find available dogs. We rebuilt their entire web presence from scratch.
Result: a complete website rebuild delivered in under 24 hours at zero cost to the organization — live and serving the rescue community immediately.

Your Challenge · Your Mission
We're actively looking for our next pro bono engagement. If your nonprofit is wrestling with technology, administration, or AI adoption — let's talk. No jargon. No invoice. Just mission.
Start the Conversation →We don't hand you something complicated and walk away. We build with your team, train alongside them, and leave you more capable than when we arrived — fully owning everything we created together. Most engagements require less than two hours of your team's time per week.
Built with enterprise-grade standards. Solutions that work when you need them most.
Responsible AI and data practices that protect your organization, your data, and your constituents.
We build with your team, not just for them. You own what we create — fully and forever.
After 25+ years at Microsoft — across Engineering, Product, and Support — James Whelan founded ChAImp to do something that hits different.
British by birth and American by choice, the same rigor, reliability, and pragmatism he applied across the full Microsoft ecosystem now goes to work for the nonprofits that need it most. Organizations that know technology could transform their impact — but don't have the time, skills, or budget to get there.
ChAImp is his give-back. For many of the organizations he works with, the engagement is entirely pro bono. Built with whatever technology serves the mission best — because the outcome always matters more than the stack.
The name ChAImp — pronounced "champ" — comes from somewhere personal — a reminder that championing others is the most important thing any of us can do.
If you lead or support a nonprofit and want to explore what modern technology could do for your organization — let's talk. No jargon. No obligation. Just an honest conversation.

No unexpected costs. No complicated onboarding. We handle the complexity so you don't have to.
